Brazil Rejects Turbine Manufacturers for Non-Compliance


Brazil's national development bank, BNDES, has closed off equipment from five turbine manufacturers to developers seeking financing for US$3.5 billion in wind farm projects. Vestas, Siemens, Suzlon, Accionna and Fuhrlaender have not met government requirements to source at least 40 percent of their components from local suppliers, according to international reports.
