Kansas Governor signs legislation with Renewable Energy Standard

The Kansas Governor signed signed legislation last week codifying the goal of major Kansas utilities generating 10% of their power from renewable energy sources by 2011, 15% by 2016, and 20% by 2020. The new legislation also enacts new net metering rules to help encourage small wind projects.   Press Release from Kansas Governor.  Copy of Statute.
