The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) approved Green Power Express' request for favorable transmission investment incentives.  The FERC decision is expected to facilitate construction of additional transmission lines from the U.S. Midwest wind energy production areas to the East Cost load region; and the lines may provide capacity for as much as 12,000 new megawatts of wind energy production.  WSJ Link or Read More Here.
