U.S. Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar and FERC Chairman Jon Wellinghoff recently clarified their agencies’ respective roles for renewable energy development on the U.S. Outer Continental Shelf.  They hope to create a more efficient procedure for the development of wind, solar, and hydrokinetic energy projects.  Hydrokinetic energy involves using the movement of waves, tides, and ocean currents to generate electricity.  Read More Here
